Helpful FAQs

A few quick answers for prospective owners and families reaching out for the first time.

What is the best way to contact you?

The application form is the preferred first step so we can learn more about your home, goals, and experience with the breed.

What should I include in my message?

Ask any questions you like, or, if looking for a puppy, please include your location, household details, prior dog experience, and whether you are inquiring about a companion or show prospect.

Do you mentor first-time Mini Bull Terrier owners?

Yes. We are happy to guide thoughtful families who are new to Mini Bull Terriers and want to understand the breed well, whether or not they have a Legacy puppy.

Can I ask about upcoming litters?

Absolutely. Use the form to share your timeline and what you are looking for, and we will respond when we can.

Do you have a wait list?

Yes, and no. We do keep a list of people who have inquired and are interested in one of our puppies. But, perhaps you want a pet (not a show dog), and you are partial to females. We might not have what you are looking for in the next litter. Every puppy is carefully matched to the person(s) and household.

Do you ship puppies?

No, we do not. We get to know all of our prospective puppy owners before placement, and personal pickup is required.

Do you offer a health guarantee?

Yes. We do everything possible to produce healthy puppies through comprehensive health testing and thoughtful breeding practices, but genetics can be unpredictable. We stand behind every puppy we breed for life; we will take back any puppy, at any age and for any reason, because every Legacy puppy is part of our family.

Will you help with guidance around medical care and diet?

Yes. After years of breeding, we believe we know what is best for our dogs’ long-term health, and choices around diet and medical care, such as vaccinations or flea/tick medication, can have lasting impacts. We are here to guide our puppy owners.

Do you offer visits by appointment?

Visits and conversations are handled by appointment so we can give each inquiry the time and attention it deserves.

What health tests do you conduct for puppies?

Before joining their new families, all puppies will receive comprehensive health evaluations including DNA testing for PLL (Primary Lens Luxation), LAD (Lethal Acrodermatitis), and LP (Laryngeal Paralysis) status, BAER testing to assess hearing, and a preliminary cardiac evaluation conducted between 8 and 10 weeks of age. They will also be microchipped before leaving our home.

What health tests do you conduct for breeding stock (Dams/Moms and Studs/Dads)?

We conduct all of the health testing for both breeding stock and puppies that are recommended by our parent club, the Miniature Bull Terrier Club of America (MBTCA). This includes what is mentioned above as well as UP/UC values for kidney function, and Cardiac Echo Doppler after the age of two.

Where can I view available puppies?

You can visit the Puppies page for updates, then submit the application form to proceed to the next step.
